MSPA Board of Commissioners
A five-member Board of Commissioners that represents a cross-section of Gulfport and Harrison County, Mississippi governs the Mississippi State Port Authority. Appointed to staggered, five-year terms, three commissioners are appointed by Mississippi’s Governor (James Simpson, John Rester, Jack Norris), one by the Harrison County Board of Supervisors (Bobby Knesal), and one by the City of Gulfport (E.J. Roberts).
The MSPA Board of Commissioners typically meets on the fourth Thursday of each month. Meetings are held at 8:30 a.m. at the Great Southern Club on the 15th floor of the Hancock Bank Plaza, located at 2510 14th Street in Gulfport.
