The Port operates under the jurisdiction of the Mississippi State Port Authority, an Enterprise Agency of the State of Mississippi that is responsible for the daily operations of the Port of Gulfport.
A five-member Board of Commissioners that represents a cross-section of Gulfport and Harrison County, Mississippi governs the MSPA.
Our mission is to be a profitable, self-sufficient Port providing world-class maritime terminal service to present and future customers and to facilitate the economic growth of Mississippi through the promotion of international trade.
