Refrigerated commodities shipped through the Port of Gulfport include: bananas, pineapples, other fresh produce, frozen poultry and pork.
Containerized dry cargo commodities include: apparel, paper, cotton, lubricants, electrical equipment, automobiles, construction supplies and materials, and road-building machinery.
Bulk commodities currently handled include: ilmentite ore (used in the production of titanium dioxide), crushed limestone.
Break-Bulk shipments run the gamut. The Port recently handled a large machinery press for the automobile industry and has exported patrol boats manufactured in Mississippi that were being shipped overseas.
